U.S. RIGS DOWN 8 TO 928

BAKER HUGHES A GEU.S. Rig Count is down 8 rigs from last week to 928, with oil rigs down 5 to 743, gas rigs down 2 to 185, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

U.S. Rig Count is up 389 rigs from last year's count of 539, with oil rigs up 311, gas rigs up 80, and miscellaneous rigs down 2 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week at 20 and down 3 rigs year-over-year.

Canada Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week to 212, with oil rigs unchaged at 112 and gas rigs up 3 to 100.

Canada Rig Count is up 47 rigs from last year's count of 165, with oil rigs up 22 and gas rigs up 25.

Baker Hughes, a GE company (NYSE:BHGE) announced today that the Baker Hughes international rig count for September 2017 was 931, down 21 from the 952 counted in August 2017, and down 3 from the 934 counted in September 2016. The international offshore rig count for September 2017 was 190, down 11 from the 201 counted in August 2017, and down 31 from the 221 counted in September 2016.

Total petroleum deliveries in August moved up by 1.3 percent from August 2016 to average 20.5 million barrels per day. These were the highest August deliveries in 10 years, since 2007. Compared with July, total domestic petroleum deliveries, a measure of U.S. petroleum demand, decreased 0.6 percent.

REUTERS - Brent crude futures LCOc1, the international benchmark for oil prices, were at $62.56 per barrel at 0439 GMT, down 16 cents, or 0.3 percent, from their last close. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were at $56.59 a barrel, up 4 cents, or 0.1 percent, from their last settlement.

ROSNEFT'S WORLD RECORD: 15000 M

Rosneft as a member of Sakhalin-1 Consortium successfully completed drilling of the world's longest well from Orlan platform at Chaivo field in the Sea of Okhotsk. The length of the well with horizontal completion is 15000 m which currently is a world record. This is a supercomplex well with DDI (Directional drilling index) of 8.0 and 14,129 m stepout.
