IRAN'S GAS EXPORT: ABOVE 5 BCM
NIGC - Iran exported over 5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), Dispatching director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced.
According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, Mehdi Jamshidi Dana said exports rose by 64% during the period from the same period last year which stood at only 3.2 bcm.
"The country's natural gas exports averaged 34.8 million cubic meters per day in the five-month period compared to 21.3 MMcm/d in the corresponding period of a year ago," he added.
Jamshidi Dana further added that gas delivery to power plants has also increased by 5% from 204 MMcm/d last year to 214 MMcm/d this year during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year.
