U.S. Rig Count is up 169 rigs from last year's count of 824, with oil rigs up 135, gas rigs up 34 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.
The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 12 rigs and down 10 rigs from last year's count of 22.
Canada Rig Count is down 27 rigs from last week to 134, with oil rigs down 22 to 71 and gas rigs down 5 to 63.
Canada Rig Count is down 21 rigs from last year's count of 155, with oil rigs up 16 and gas rigs down 37.

U.S. LNG EXPORTS UPEIA - U.S. exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) reached 1.94 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in 2017, up from 0.5 Bcf/d in 2016. As LNG exports increased, shipments went to more destinations. U.S. LNG exports in 2017, all of which originated from Louisiana’s Sabine Pass liquefaction terminal, reached 25 countries.

U.S. LNG FOR EUROPE ANEWOGJ - “It’s at a critical point; $150 billion of new infrastructure will be needed domestically. With all the growth in the Permian, there’s not capacity to ship gas to Louisiana,” Hochstein said. “If governments in both the US and Europe aren’t willing to put infrastructure in place, real progress won’t be made.”

U.S. GAS EXPORT - 2017EIA - The United States exported more natural gas than it imported in 2017, marking the first time since 1957 that the United States has been a net natural gas exporter. The transition to net exporter occurred as natural gas production in the United States continued to grow, reducing pipeline imports from Canada and increasing exports, both by pipeline and as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

U.S. PETROLEUM DEMAND: 20.3 MBDAPI - Led by gasoline and seasonal demand for heating fuels, U.S. petroleum demand hit 20.3 million barrels per day (MBD) in February. Demand was up by more than a million barrels per day from February of last year, nearing record highs not seen for more than a decade.
