SERBIA ENERGY INVESTMENT €17 BLN
ENERDATA - 26 Aug 2021 - The Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy will present a €17bn long-term investment plan in September 2021. The country will invest in new hydropower plants, including the Đerdap 3 power plant (2,400 MW) and Bistrica (600 MW) pumped storage hydropower projects, to secure the stability of the energy system. Serbia also intends to fund gas, solar and wind power projects. Hydropower accounts for 39% of Serbia’s installed capacity, with 3.1 GW.

RENEWABLES FOR SERBIA 1 GW
Serbia’s installed capacity stood at 8 GW at the end of 2020, with 52% of coal and 39% of hydro.

GAZPROM FOR SERBIA: 125%
The amount of Gazprom’s gas purchased by Serbia increased in 2021, showing a growth of 125.9 per cent in the first five months of 2021 versus the same period of 2020.
