China's domestic coal production hit a high of 395.79 million mt in March, before slipping to around 362.80 million mt in April

China’s Shandong Provincial Energy Administration has called for proposals to build 10 fixed offshore solar PV power plants, with a combined capacity of 11.25 GW and set to be realised between 2022 and 2025.

The crude throughput was the lowest since March 2020 when it was at 11.81 million b/d, following lockdowns after the initial COVID-19 wave.

China, the world's top coal producer, mined 362.8 million tonnes of the fuel last month, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Monday, equivalent to 12.09 million tonnes per day.

China’s LNG imports averaged 10.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), a 19% increase compared with 2020.

“Ratification of the agreement will widen and deepen cooperation in customs control to prevent illicit trafficking of nuclear and radioactive materials, radioactive waste, and radiation hazardous items, extend cooperation in introducing modern technologies, and make possible joint exercises and training workshops.”

"The document says the rule is about HS codes, so it is applicable to all origins," a South Korea-based source said. "This should help Russian coal demand more than other origins because it is already at a discount to other origins."

In March 2022, China’s government released its 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–25), which sets the domestic natural gas production target at 22.3 Bcf/d by 2025, or 3.0 Bcf/d more than domestic production in 2021.

The State Council said nuclear power "should be developed in an orderly manner under the premise of strict supervision and absolute safety."
