It was pointed out that the French demand for Russian natural gas has been on the rise for the last four years.

The parties reviewed issues related to bilateral cooperation, paying special attention to the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project. To date, more than 1,402 kilometers of pipes – over 57 per cent of the gas pipeline's total length – have been laid in the Baltic Sea.

In 2018, Gazprom exported to Serbia 2.15 billion cubic meters of gas, a 1.2 per cent increase from 2017 (2.12 billion cubic meters).

Profit attributable to the owners of PJSC Gazprom for the year ended December 31, 2018 amounted to RUB 1,456,270 million which is by RUB 741,968 million, or 104 %, more than for the year ended December 31, 2017.

The meeting participants reviewed the development prospects of the Chinese gas market and the strategic aspects of cooperation between Gazprom and CNPC, paying particular attention to gas supplies. It was noted that the preparation of facilities for Russian gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline from December 1, 2019, is going according to schedule.

The meeting participants praised the project operator, Sakhalin Energy, for its work.
