In the first quarter of 2020, LUKOIL booked a loss attributable to shareholders in the amount of RUB 46.0 bln.

In 2019, profit attributable to PJSC LUKOIL shareholders amounted to RUB 640.2 bln, 3.4% higher year-on-year. The growth was constrained by higher depreciation and lower non-cash foreign exchange gain.

“Conoravirus ... is a short-lived factor which is affecting oil prices ... There will be an OPEC (and non-OPEC) meeting, compensatory measures will be taken which will take the excess oil off the market and the oil price will rebound,” Fedun said.

Russian crude producer Lukoil is in talks with Saudi Aramco on potential joint projects outside Russia and Saudi Arabia, including some in Africa, CEO Vagit Alekperov said Wednesday on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi.

President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Group Managing Director Mele K Kyari signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the companies. Memorandum was signed today at the Russia-Africa economic forum in Sochi.

For the six months of 2019 LUKOIL Group's average hydrocarbon production excluding the West Qurna-2 project was 2,352 thousand boe per day, which is 2.8% higher year-on-year. The increase was mainly driven by the development of gas projects in Uzbekistan, as well as oil production growth in Russia due to change in terms of the external limitations of Russian companies' production volumes.
