The UAE’s expanded cooperation with India in the area of climate aims to support India’s ambition to achieve 450 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy installed capacity by 2030 and aligns with the UAE’s ambitions to expand its low and zero-carbon energy capabilities.

Japan is one of the UAE's largest investment partners in both outbound and inbound investments, as Japanese investments in the country currently exceed AED 15 billion, accounting for 3percent of total FDI inflows and more than 8.2 percent of investments from Asian countries.

Agreements were announced during the visit of Dr. Robert Habeck, German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, to the UAE. They build upon the longstanding Emirati-German Energy Partnership as well as the Ministerial Emirati-German Hydrogen Task Force that was inaugurated in November 2021.

DEWA currently has 13.4 GW of installed power capacity (including 1.5 GW of solar PV) and provides electricity and potable water to Dubai's 3.5 m residents.

Turkey and the UAE have promising investment environments that offer many opportunities for investors and businesses, underscoring their aspirations to strengthen their economic partnership to establish a new era of sustainable growth.

In his statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Mazrouei said the UAE has made significant progress towards confirming its international leadership in the field of environmentally-friendly energy, with the operation of the plant’s second reactor while commending the efforts of relevant teams.

Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic partnership council. Earlier, Johnson met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nayhan, in Abu Dhabi.

But getting Saudi Arabia and the UAE to agree to pump more crude would require them to break a more-than-five-year partnership with Russia that has forged strong ties beyond oil — an uncertain prospect as they increasingly look eastward for political allies.

"With IRENA forecasting that energy transition investments will have to increase by 30% over planned investment to a total of $131 trillion between now and 2050, the UAE is committed to supporting this transition through domestic and foreign investment. To achieve our ambition, we plan to invest $163 billion to diversify our energy mix."

The implementation of OPEC Plus agreements was discussed. The parties stressed their intention to continue coordinated effort in the interests of maintaining global energy market stability.
