The German energy regulator Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur or BNetzA) has launched a tender for the development of 1,320 MW of onshore wind capacity.

The company has 2,278 MW of nuclear generation in Michigan, 450 MW of purchased wind generation from Indiana, more than 22 MW of hydro generation in both states, nearly 35 MW of large-scale solar generation in both states, and 2,620 MW of coal-fired generation in Indiana.

The Aurora project, which will be located 20 km south of Gotland and 30 km east of Öland, consist of up to 370 turbines with a maximum height of 370 meters.

The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur or BNetzA) has published the results of the latest tenders for onshore wind with a bidding date set for 1 February 2022.

Renewable facilities added 23,639 megawatts (MW) of new generating capacity last year with solar and wind providing 12,804-MW and 10,754-MW respectively.

Massachusetts had earlier set an offshore wind target of 4 GW by 2027.

The company has now obtained all the required EBLs to fully develop its 1.3 GW floating offshore wind project in South Korea.

Combined, solar and wind grew by 15.96% and accounted for more than one-eighth (13.05%) of U.S. electrical generation (wind - 9.12%, solar - 3.93%).

The United States aims to instal 30 GW of offshore wind by 2030. At the regional level, New York and New Jersey have set the target of installing 16 GW of offshore wind by 2035.
