"Rig rates in the US are down almost 80%, we're seeing decline in rig rates around the world and we're starting to see the supply response that everyone has expected. YAMAL LNG CREDIT LINE: EUR 3.6 BLN
OAO Yamal LNG (“Yamal LNG”) announced the signing of an agreement with Sberbank and Gazprombank on a 15-year credit line facility for the total amount of EUR 3.6 billion at EURIBOR 6M plus 4.7% annual interest rate. The agreement signed with the Russian banks is part of the project financing package for Yamal LNG.

U.S. LNG FOR EUROPE
Europe’s leaders have long been hoping that U.S. shale gas would help the bloc reduce its reliance on gas from Russia, which provides around a third of the region’s supplies. The ethane from Ineos’s shipment won’t be a substitute for Russian gas, which is mostly methane, but it will help to lower prices in the European market, said Karen Sund, partner at Norway-based Sund Energy consultancy.

AUSTRALIAN LNG: $400 BLN DOWN
More than $400 billion of proposed energy projects have been delayed since mid-2014 and pushed into 2017 and beyond as oil prices slid about 60 percent in the past two years, according to consulting firm Wood Mackenzie Ltd. The LNG market in particular is facing an oversupply as U.S. exports add to a wave of shipments from Australia.

RUSSIAN - CHINESE TRANSACTION
OAO NOVATEK announced the closing of a transaction to sell a 9.9% equity stake in the Yamal LNG project (“Project”) to China’s Silk Road Fund (“SRF”) for a payment amounting to EUR 1,087 million.
