Brent climbed 1 cents to $77.21 a barrel, WTI were down 4 cents at $72.28 a barrel.

These additional voluntary cuts are announced by the following OPEC+ countries : Saudi Arabia (1,000 thousand b/d); Iraq (223 thousand b/d); United Arab Emirates (163 thousand b/d); Kuwait (135 thousand b/d); Kazakhstan (82 thousand b/d); Algeria (51 thousand b/d); and Oman (42 thousand b/d) starting 1st of January until the end of March 2024.

Brent fell 15 cents, or 0.2%, to $82.95 a barrel, WTI rose 12 cents, or 0.2%, at $77.98 a barrel.

The Hungarian government plans to extend the service of the Paks NPP. Four of its reactors, build by Soviet specialists some 40 years ago, are to go out of operation between 2032 and 2037, but their life span may be extended by 20 years, to 2052-2057. At the same time, the plant’s units Five and Six are now being built in accordance with Rosatom’s designs.

Brent fell 37 cents, or 0.5%, to $80.21 a barrel, WTI were at $75.18 a barrel, down 36 cents, or 0.5%.

Brent were down $1.04, or 1.3%, at $80.92 a barrel, WTI dipped 90 cents, or 1.2%, to $76.20.

Russia is expected to reduce both oil and natural gas production this year, according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Oil is projected to fall by 8 million tons to 527 million tons, compared to 535 million tons last year, he said.

Brent rose 11 cents, or 0.1%, to $82.56 a barrel, WTI rose 14 cents, or 0.2%, to $77.91.

Ministers from OPEC+, which groups the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and allies led by Russia, meet on Sunday in Vienna.

The European Commission hopes to introduce a "requirement for attestations to also include itemized ancillary costs, such as insurance and freight," on top of a declaration on the price paid for the Russian oil.
