ABU DHABI CLEAN ENERGY
The MoU aims to facilitate the development of two Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants – in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain – which, upon completion, would have the potential to transform up to 1.5 million tonnes of municipal waste into energy every year and collectively reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 2.5 million tonnes annually – equivalent to the removal of more than 500,000 cars from the road.

JAPAN'S OIL STOCKS UP 28%
The crude stocks held by Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi were 1.41 million kiloliters, or 8.87 million barrels, at the end of November, equating to four days of Japanese oil consumption, up from 1.1 million kiloliters a month earlier, according to data released Wednesday by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

THE NEW ABU DHABI'S OIL: 7 BBL
During the meeting held at ADNOC headquarters, the Council revealed the discovery of new hydrocarbon reserves estimated at 7 billion barrels of crude oil and 58 trillion standard cubic feet of conventional gas, putting the UAE in the sixth place in terms of global oil and gas reserves, with a total reserves of 105 billion barrels and 273 trillion cubic feet of conventional gas.

ABU DHABI'S SOLAR PLANT 2GW
Emirates Water and Electricity Company (Ewec) has revealed that construction work on the 2,000MW solar plant in Al Dhafra region is under way, with the photovoltaic (PV) power project expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2022 taking Abu Dhabi’s solar capacity to 3,200MW.
