Russia's gas production, including associated petroleum gas, is estimated at 637 Bcm in 2016, which would represent a marginal increase of 0.2% year on year, energy minister Alexander Novak said late Tuesday.

The annual volume of the global gas trade is expected to increase from around 1,000bn m3 currently to 1,650bn m3 by 2040; an absolute growth of 65%.

China's state oil and gas majors are set to import record levels of liquefied natural gas (LNG) this month, betting on robust demand during the cold winter months and helping lift Asian prices to their highest in nearly two years.

Preliminary production figures for November 2016 show an average daily production of 2 153 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, which is an increase of 37 000 barrels per day (approx. 2 percent) compared to October.

Benchmark Brent crude oil futures LCOc1 were trading up 56 cents, or 1 percent, at $55.48 a barrel at 1329 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures CLc1 were up 29 cents at $52.41 a barrel, not far off a one-week high of $52.52.

Pursuant to Gazprom’s approved budget (financial plan), the overall amount of investments in 2017 will stand at RUB 910.67 billion, with RUB 625.455 billion intended for construction projects, RUB 0.125 billion for the acquisition of non-current assets, and RUB 285.09 billion for long-term financial investments.

BP today signed an agreement with the Supreme Petroleum Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) that grants BP a 10% interest in Abu Dhabi’s ADCO onshore oil concession, which has a life of 40 years.

U.S. Rig Count is down 72 rigs from last year's count of 709, with oil rigs down 31, gas rigs down 42, and miscellaneous rigs up 1. Canadian Rig Count is up 72 rigs from last year's count of 162, with oil rigs up 45, gas rigs up 25, and miscellaneous rigs up 2.

But for all the talk of trade barriers, oil prices rising on supply cuts, and planned U.S. tax cuts and infrastructure spending, the global inflation outlook hasn't changed much, even if the Fed is sounding more worried about it.
