U.S. RIGS UP 3 TO 984

BAKER HUGHES A GE -  U.S. Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week to 984, with oil rigs down 4 to 796, gas rigs up 7 to 188.

U.S. Rig Count is up 216 rigs from last year's count of 768, with oil rigs up 179, gas rigs up 37. 

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 rig to 13 and down 7 rigs from last year's count of 20. 

Canada Rig Count is down 29 rigs from last week to 273, with oil rigs down 15 to 196 and gas rigs down 14 to 77. 

Canada Rig Count is down 42 rigs from last year's count of 315, with oil rigs up 16 and gas rigs down 58.

WORLDWIDE RIG COUNT UP 86 TO 2,175

BAKER HUGHES A GE - The worldwide rig count for January 2018 was 2,175, up 86 from the 2,089 counted in December 2017, and up 257 from the 1,918 counted in January 2017.

BAKER HUGHES A GE - U.S. Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week to 981, with oil rigs up 1 to 800, gas rigs up 2 to 181, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged. Canada Rig Count is down 4 rigs from last week to 302, with oil rigs up 2 to 211 and gas rigs down 6 to 91.

U.S. OIL PRIODUCTION UP TO 10.2 MBD

API - U.S. crude production rose to 10.2 million barrels per day (MBD) in January – the highest monthly output on record, according to API’s monthly statistical report. This was an increase of 1.1 percent versus December and 15.1 percent from January 2017.

EIA - Crude oil production from the major US onshore regions is forecast to increase 110,000 b/d month-over-month in March to 6,756 million b/d, gas production to increase 832 million cubic feet/day to 64,941 million cubic feet/day .

PLATTS - Congress early Friday approved a two-year budget agreement which mandates the sale of 100 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve within a decade and authorizes sales of another $350 million of government-owned crude this fiscal year.
