IRAN'S OIL UNCHANGED
SHANA - Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said that Iranian crude oil and exports had not been affected as a result of US's pulling out of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Speaking to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, the official said that U.S. President Donald Trump insulted OPEC by ordering it to increase production and reduce prices.
Trump on Wednesday accused the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries of driving fuel prices higher, and urged Saudi Arabia to pump more if it wanted Washington to continue protecting it against its top rival Iran, reported Reuters.
"Mr. Trump sends every day a new message that creates uncertainty in the market," Mr. Zanganeh said, adding: "Trump's order to OPEC members to increase production is a great insult to those governments and nations, and destabilizes the market."
He further said that the pressure caused by Washington against Tehran had not changed the latter's crude oil production or exports so far.

IRAN'S OIL IS IMPORTANTSHANA - Donald Trump's call on other countries to stop buying crude oil from Iran and putting European companies under pressure would be a kind of self-harm for the US leading to dramatic price hikes in the oil market, given Nigeria and Libya being crisis-stricken, Venezuela's crude oil output having plunged and Saudi Arabia's domestic consumption spike in summer, Iran's OPEC Governor says. |
