AFRICA ENERGY FORUM MARCH 2019

AFRICA ENERGY FORUM MARCH 2019

AEF: OFF the Grid

Africa Energy Forum: Off the Grid will be held from 27-29 March 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and is the off-grid themed extension of Africa Energy Forum (AEF), which leverages the networks of the largest global investment meeting for Africa’s power, energy and infrastructure sectors. Under the theme ‘A Sustainable Role for Mini and Off-Grid Solutions in African Energy Ecosystem’, AEF: OTG focuses on updates on off the grid project development and innovation across the continent.

Considering this, it is our pleasure to host our meeting in Ethiopia and lend our support to the Government of Ethiopia in its national electrification objectives by bringing off-grid and minigrid solution providers from across Africa together to empower disconnected communities.

EUROPE'S GAS SECURITY

IEA - At the moment, Russia is sending record volumes to Europe while LNG utilisation rates remain relatively low. Limits to European production capacity and import infrastructure (with over half of pipelines operating at monthly peaks above 80%) may contribute to market tightness over the coming years, particularly if Asia continues to absorb the ramp up in global LNG liquefaction capacity.
