RUSSIA, SERBIA PROJECTS

GAZPROM - June 6, 2019, 19:00. A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Aleksandar Antic, Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019.

The parties discussed the current status of their joint projects, in particular the ongoing construction of the Pancevo TPP, which is due to be brought onstream next year. The meeting participants also examined the possibility of building new gas-fired power plants in Serbia, as well as issues related to the development of a small-scale LNG market in the country.

Special attention was paid to the construction of Serbia's national gas transmission system. Aleksandar Antic informed Alexey Miller that the project is running on schedule: intensive work is underway in two sections of the route. It is expected that construction permits will be issued for the two remaining sections of the gas pipeline's linear part, which is planned to be completed before the end of 2019.
