U.S. RIGS DOWN 2 TO 967

BHGE U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 967, with oil rigs up 1 to 789, gas rigs down 4 to 177, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 1.

U.S. Rig Count is down 85 rigs from last year's count of 1,052, with oil rigs down 73, gas rigs down 11, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 24 and up 6 rigs year-over-year.

Canada Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last week to 119, with oil rigs up 11 to 80 and gas rigs up 1 to 39.

Canada Rig Count is down 41 rigs from last year's count of 160, with oil rigs down 23 and gas rigs down 18.

U.S. EIA - Crude oil production from the major US onshore regions is forecast to increase 70,000 b/d month-over-month in June from 8,450 to 8,520 thousand barrels/day, gas production to increase 798 million cubic feet/day from 80,564 to 81,362 million cubic feet/day .

GLOBAL GAS FLARING UP 3%
Gas flaring, the burning of natural gas associated with oil extraction, takes place because of technical, regulatory, and/or economic constraints. It results in more than 350 million tons of CO2 equivalent emissions every year and wastes a valuable resource, with harmful impacts to the environment from un-combusted methane and black carbon emissions.
