CHINA'S OIL THROUGHPUT UP 7%
PLATTS - Crude oil throughput at China's domestic refineries rose 6.9% year on year to 54 million mt in August, or 12.77 million b/d, preliminary data released Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics showed.
Over the first eight months of 2019, total crude throughput at refineries across China was 5.9% higher year on year at 424.16 million mt, or 12.79 million b/d, NBS data showed.
In the upstream segment, China's crude production in August rose 1% year on year to 16.18 million mt, or an average of 3.83 million b/d.
Total crude output also increased 1% year on year to 127.49 million mt over January-August, averaging 3.85 million b/d, the data showed.
As for natural gas, August output rose 6.6% year on year to 13.8 Bcm, bringing the total output over January-August to 114.10 Bcm, up 9.3% year on year.
Detailed data, including production figures for oil products, is expected to be released by the NBS in the next few days.
