INDONESIA'S COAL FOR CHINA $1.5 BLN

ENERDATA - 26 Nov 2020 - China Coal Transportation and Distribution has signed a US$1.5bn agreement with the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI) to buy 200 Mt of thermal coal in 2021. The target quantity will be reviewed every year. In 2019, China was the largest coal importer worldwide, with more than 298 Mt, while Indonesia was the world's largest exporter with 456 Mt.
