U.S. ENERGY CLIMATE INVESTMENT $1.2 TLN
ENERDATA - 9 Nov 2021 - The US House of Representatives has passed a US$1,200bn infrastructure bill. The text includes US$65bn to improve the reliability and resiliency of the power grid, US$7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging stations, and US$3.5bn for the Energy Department's Weatherisation Assistance Program to help low-income households become more energy-efficient. The bill also contains US$2.5bn to fund alternative fuelling infrastructure such as natural gas, hydrogen and propane, and US$5bn to replace school buses with lower-carbon options. Finally, the text allocates US$8.5bn for carbon capture and storage projects and US$8bn to create four clean hydrogen hubs.
