QATAR LNG FOR CHINA

ENERDATA 23 Mar 2021 - Qatar Petroleum has entered into 10-year LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Sinopec to supply 2 Mt/year of LNG to China. LNG deliveries will start in January 2022. In 2018, China became the second largest LNG importer in the world behind Japan. China's LNG imports amounted to 77 bcm in 2019 (+12%). Australia is the largest LNG supplier (42%), followed by Qatar (15%).
