INDIA'S ENERGY STORAGE 2 GW
ENERDATA - 27 Jul 2021 - The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) plans to tender a 2,000 MWh standalone energy storage system (ESS). The project will be set up on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis with a 25-year agreement. The tender process is expected to be launched at the very end of August 2021.
SECI has recently led multiple renewable+ESS tenders to help the country achieve its renewables targets. India targets 175 GW of renewables by 2022, 275 GW by 2027, and 450 GW by 2030.
