ENERDATA- 25 Aug 2021 - The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) awarded 1,350 MW as part of the Tranche IV auction for 1,200 MW interstate transmissions system (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects on a build, own and operated basis (India). 450 MW were awarded to Ayana Renewables, 450 MW to NTPC and 150 MW to NLC India at a tariff of INR2.34/kWh (US$3.2c/kWh). In addition, Azure Power won another 300 MW at INR2.35/kWh (US$3.2c/kWh).
The discovered tariff of this auction is 3% lower than the lowest bid in the wind-solar hybrid auction held in December 2020.

INDIA ENERGY DEMAND WILL UP
India's crude imports fell 10.3% year on year to 201.5 million mt in 2020, or 4 million b/d, data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell showed, as oil products demand in 2020 posted negative growth for the first time in nearly two decades.
