RENEWABLES FOR SERBIA 1 GW
ENERDATA - 4 Aug 2021 - The Serbian authorities and UGT Renewables have signed an agreement to build a 1 GW solar project in the country. The power plant would span a total of 2,000 hectares in ten or so locations. The Export-Import Bank (EXIM) of the United States offered a 20-year financing package for 85% of the value of the project.
Serbia’s installed capacity stood at 8 GW at the end of 2020, with 52% of coal and 39% of hydro.
