Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have decided to invest US$3.6bn to decarbonise ADNOC's offshore production operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The CVOW project is expected to help Virginia meet the targets of the Virginia Clean Economy Act, which requires the State to have 100% clean energy by 2045. The United States aims to deploy 30 GW of offshore wind by 2030 and to permit at least 25 GW of onshore renewable energy by 2025.
