INDIA HYDROGEN PLAN
ENERDATA - 21 Feb 2022 - India has unveiled a plan to increase its green hydrogen and ammonia production to 5 Mt/year in 2030 and to become an export hub for the fuel. The new policy offers priority access to the grid and 25 years of free power transmission for any new renewable projects set up to supply electricity for green hydrogen production before July 2025. The country also plans to simplify the authorisation process for green hydrogen production (including a single portal for all clearances and land provision) and to provide federal financial support to develop electrolysers.
