International Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last month to 841 with land rigs down 2 to 646, offshore rigs up 9 to 195. 

International. Rig Count is up 164 rigs from last year's count of 677, with land rigs up 139, offshore rigs up 25. 

The average U.S. Rig Count for January was 601 up 22 from last months count of 579 and up 232 year-over-year. 

The average Canada Rig Count for January was 190 up 40 from last months count of 150 and up 53 year-over-year. 

The Worldwide Rig Count for January was 1,632, up 69 from the 1,563 counted in December 2021,and up 449 from the 1,183 counted in January 2021.

GLOBAL OIL DEMAND RECOVERY
Underlying oil demand fundaments remain strong going into 2022. Pent-up demand is already stretching supply lines to the limit while booster jabs and previous infections lower the chance of serious harm from the virus.

GLOBAL OIL DEMAND GROWTH
This year, demand for petroleum, both in the United States and globally, has largely returned to the pre-pandemic levels in 2019. Demand has grown faster than supply, reducing inventories and contributing to higher prices for crude oil and petroleum products.
