ENERDATA14 Mar 2022 - Vestas has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the city of Ulsan (South Korea) Ulsan Port Authority and Sejin Heavy Industries & Construction to cooperate on the city's plan to develop a 9 GW floating offshore wind project by 2030 and set up an export base for offshore wind equipment and materials.

Earlier in March 2022, MunmuBaram, a joint venture of Shell (80%) and CoensHexicon (20%), secured an additional Electricity Business License (EBL) from the South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to progress a 1.3 GW floating offshore wind project off the coast of Ulsan City.
