INDIA SOLAR POWER 10 GW
ENERDATA - 20 Apr 2022 - Jaipur Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL) and Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC) have signed an agreement to set up a 10 GW solar project in Rajasthan (India). The project, which should be completed in five years at a cost of INR400bn (US$5.2bn), should generate 17 TWh/year.
The renewable capacity (excluding large hydro) in India reached 100 GW in August 2021, i.e. just over half of the 2022 target (175 GW). The increase of renewable capacities is driven by solar since 2016, with over 28 GW installed between 2016 and 2020, 3.7 GW of which in 2020.

INDIA COAL PRODUCTION WILL RISE
