CHINA SOLAR POWER 11 GW
ENERDATA - 17 May 2022 - China’s Shandong Provincial Energy Administration has called for proposals to build 10 fixed offshore solar PV power plants, with a combined capacity of 11.25 GW and set to be realised between 2022 and 2025. These offshore PV projects will be allocated through market competition. The project construction sites are identified as Yantai Haiyang (2.7 GW), Weihai Wendeng (2 GW), Qingdao Jimo (1.15 GW), Weifang Hanting (1.05 GW), Dongying Kenli and Yantai Laizhou (1 GW each), Binzhou Wudi (0.85 GW), Dongying (0.7 GW), Yantai Zhaoyuan and Qingdao Huangdao (0.4 GW each).
The Shandong province has recently been developing projects in offshore solar PV, notably with state-owned company China Huaneng, that commissioned a 320 MW floating solar PV project in the province in January 2022.
