RUSSIAN GAS TO EUROPE DOWN
PLATTS - 25 Jul 2022 - Natural gas flows from Russia to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline will fall to 33 million cu m/d at 0700 Moscow time (0500 BST) due to the cessation of operations on another Siemens gas turbine at Portovaya, Gazprom said in a press release.
"Due to the end of the time between overhauls before overhaul (in accordance with the instructions of Rostekhnadzor and taking into account the technical condition of the engine), Gazprom [stopped] the operation of another Siemens gas turbine engine at the Portovaya CS," the company said, adding, "the daily output of the Portovaya CS from 0700 Moscow time ... July 27 will be up to 33 million cu m/d."
Earlier July 25, Gazprom said "additional questions" were raised after receiving, through Germany's Siemens, documents from the Canadian government about a gas compressor that was sent to the country for maintenance.
Gas flows have been running at 63 million cu m/d on either side of the planned July 11-20 annual maintenance period, data from Nord Stream AG showed, but are due to fall back to about 20% of capacity at the beginning of the July 27 gas day as a result of the shutdown of the other Siemens compressor.
The Dutch TTF August contract was seen trading as high as Eur176/MWh shortly after the press release surfaced, up Eur17 from its intraday low.
