PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA - January 31, 2023 - Telephone conversation with President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune
Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The presidents noted with satisfaction that Russia-Algeria cooperation, rooted in the long-standing traditions of friendship and mutual respect, continued to steadily expand. They reaffirmed their readiness to continue working together on the global energy market, including within the OPEC Plus and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
It was agreed to step up the contacts at various levels and preparation of important bilateral documents.

The IEA predicts oil demand will rise by 2.3 million b/d in 2022 and by a further 1.7 million b/d in 2023, noting the contrast between strong gasoil and diesel use, especially in non-OECD economies, and weak petrochemical consumption in Europe and Asia.
