The average U.S. Rig Count for December was 589 up 5 from last month count of 584 and down 34 year-over-year.
The average Canada Rig Count for December was 162 down 44 rigs from last month count of 205 and up 1 year-over-year.
The Worldwide Rig Count for December was 1,660, down 49 from the 1,708 counted in November 2024, and down 79, from the 1,739 counted in December 2023.

Supplies from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries increased by 370,000 barrels a day to 29.9 million a day in October, according to a Bloomberg survey. The gain was tempered by reductions in Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia.
