CANADIAN GAS FOR GERMANY
ENERDATA - 01 August 2025 - The German energy group Uniper and the Canadian gas producer Tourmaline have signed a long-term natural gas supply agreement for 6.6 bcm over 8 years starting in November 2028. Under the LNG Netback Supply Agreement, Tourmaline will deliver gas to the ANR SE trading hub in southeast Louisiana, United States.
Previously, Uniper signed a separate LNG sale-and-purchase agreement (SPA) for up to 2 Mt/year with Woodside Energy. That transaction included LNG supply commitments for 1 Mt/year of LNG from Woodside’s US-based Louisiana LNG production and export terminal, which is currently under development.
