PLATTS - OPEC has painted a bearish picture for 2019, with demand for its crude oil expected to fall due to weak demand growth and a sharp rise in output from producers outside the group.

REUTERS - OPEC Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo said the exporting group was not in the business of fixing oil prices, when asked on Monday to comment on a U.S. House committee passing a bill targeting OPEC oil supply cuts.

BHGE - U.S. Rig Count is up 4 rigs from last week to 1,049 rigs, with oil rigs up 7 to 854 and gas rigs down 3 to 195. Canada Rig Count is down 3 rigs from last week to 240, with oil rigs down 1 to 158 and gas rigs down 2 to 82.

PLATTS - OPEC pumped the fewest barrels since March 2015 in January, with crude output plunging to 30.86 million b/d, a fall of 970,000 b/d from December as new supply quotas went into force, according to an S&P Global Platts survey of industry officials, analysts and shipping data.

SHANA - Zangeneh said Iran had outdone Qatar in recovery from the giant offshore South Pars gas field and surpassed Iraq in production from jointly owned oil reservoirs.

NOV - National Oilwell Varco, Inc. (NYSE: NOV) reported fourth quarter 2018 revenues of $2.40 billion, an increase of 11 percent compared to the third quarter of 2018 and an increase of 22 percent from the fourth quarter of 2017. Operating profit for the fourth quarter of 2018 was $87 million, or 3.6 percent of sales, Adjusted EBITDA (operating profit excluding depreciation, amortization, and other items) was $279 million, or 11.6 percent of sales, and net income was $12 million. Operating profit increased 19 percent sequentially, and Adjusted EBITDA increased 14 percent sequentially and 42 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2017. Other items totaled $21 million, pre-tax, and were primarily related to charges associated with the closure of one of the Company’s facilities.

BHGE - The worldwide rig count for January 2019 was 2,264, up 20 from the 2,244 counted in December 2018, and up 89 from the 2,175 counted in January 2018.

ROSNEFT - Hydrocarbon production amounted to 285.5 mln toe (5.80 mmboed) in 2018, exceeded 2017 levels by 1.3%. Q4 2018 hydrocarbon production amounted to 73.7 mln toe (5.94 mmboed), which exceeded the Q3 2018 result by 1.8%.

ROSNEFT - As of 31.12.2018, Rosneft SEC proven hydrocarbon reserves were 41,431 mmboe (5,597 mmtoe)*. The hydrocarbon reserves increased by 1,524 mmboe (202 mln toe) versus reserves as of 2017 end or by 4%.

LUKOIL - In 2018 LUKOIL Group's average hydrocarbon production excluding West Qurna-2 project was 2,319 thousand boe per day, which is 3.8% higher year-on-year. In the fourth quarter of 2018 production increased by 1.9% quarter-on-quarter and averaged 2,371 thousand boe per day. The increase was mainly driven by the development of gas projects in Uzbekistan.

PLATTS - US-based Anadarko Petroleum has agreed to sell 1.5 million mt/year of LNG from its planned 12.9 million mt/year Mozambique LNG project to China's CNOOC for a period of 13 years.

REUTERS - Russian oil output declined to 11.38 million barrels per day (bpd) in January, or by around 35,000 bpd from the October 2018 level,

BHGE - U.S. Rig Count is down 14 rigs from last week to 1,045 rigs, with oil rigs down 15 to 847 and gas rigs up 1 to 198. Canada Rig Count is up 11 rigs from last week to 243, with oil rigs up 13 to 159 and gas rigs down 2 to 84.

PLATTS- Russian energy minister Alexander Novak said Wednesday that he does not currently see a need to take any extra measures or call for an extra meeting by the OPEC/non-OPEC group over the crisis in Venezuela. "We haven't discussed the situation with [Saudi energy] minister Falih, or other ministers," Novak told reporters. "The markets are currently calm ... and the volatility is insignificant. So there is no need for the extra meeting of OPEC+, at least the Russian side thinks so."

PLATTS- US refiners cannot rely on Mexico to replace Venezuelan heavy oil imports as the country is battling to reverse its declining production and Pemex's oil is sold under contractual basis, analysts and others say.
