CHINA'S GASOIL RECORD
September gasoil exports surged to a record high of 1.6 million mt, or 398,197 b/d, surpassing the previous high of 1.53 million mt, or 368,840 b/d, in July, according to data from the General Administration of Customs. On a daily average basis in barrels, exports in September were 44.4% higher year on year and up 55.4% month on month.

RUSSIAN - INDIAN NUCLEAR
ROSATOM - "Historically, India is one of our key foreign partners. Two power units of Russian design are already operating on the Kudankulam NPP site and two more are under construction. To increase the state corporation's market presence, it was decided to open a regional center in Mumbai. This will enable us to join forces with our Indian partners and enhance the performance of Russian nuclear enterprises operating in India," said Aleksey Pimenov, the Regional President of Rosatom South Asia.

ROSNEFT WILL BUY INDIA
Rosneft will get 49% and the two investors -- Trafigura and UCP -- will hold the remaining 49% in equal parts, the sources said, adding that the valuation included about $4.5 B in assumed debt.

CHINA OIL IMPORTS UP
The world’s biggest energy user imported 33.06 million metric tons of crude in September, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on Thursday. That’s about 8.08 million barrels a day. China’s net fuel exports were at 2.37 million tons last month, near the record 2.49 million in July.

ROSNEFT SOLD $2 BLN
The closed transaction is a symbolic one for the companies and marks the transition to a new level of cooperation in the Russian-Indian relations in the energy area. Indian companies obtain substantial interest in one of the biggest large-scale projects of Rosneft of the last decade, whereas Rosneft retains 61.1% shares in the project.

INDIA APPROVED $3 BLN
The deal, worth about $2.02 billion, was approved by the cabinet Wednesday, said an official, who didn’t wish to be named. The cabinet also approved another deal worth $1.24 billion reached by the three companies earlier this year to acquire a 29.9% stake in Russia’s Taas-Yuryakh oil field.

LNG TO INDIA: UP 35%
The cost of importing LNG has dropped sharply this year after New Delhi signed a revised long term contract with Doha. Qatar is the largest supplier of LNG to India. Given the backdrop of low global LNG prices, Petronet LNG insisted on renegotiating its long term contract with RasGas.

ONGC BUYS VANKOR
Vankorneft is the operating company of the Vankor oil and gas condensate field and the North Vankor licence, in East Siberia, Russia. This acquisition will increase ONGC Videsh’s stake in the company to 26%. The company had previously acquired 15% in the project in May this year for USD 1.27 billion. The new transaction is expected to close by the end of the year.
