RUSSIAN OIL EXPORTS DOWN
Russia is still the biggest source of the trade bloc's shipped crude with more than 1.2 million b/d of imports landing in the region in early September, the data shows, little changed on the month.

ASIA COAL PRICES UP
Newcastle futures for October jumped 5% to $463.75 a ton Monday, according to ICE Futures Europe, to the highest price in data stretching back to January 2016. Europe’s benchmark coal price is also trading at a record.

RUSSIAN OIL FOR INDIA UP
In May, India imported 819,000 barrels per day (bpd), from 277,000 bpd in April and 33,000 bpd a year ago. Russia is now the second biggest supplier to India, replacing Saudi Arabia, while Iraq continues to be the largest.

INDIA NEED OIL INVESTMENT
The oil ministry said June 29 that India would allow operators to sell locally-produced crude in the domestic market without restrictions from Oct. 1, but restrictions on exporting locally-produced crude would remain.

RUSSIA GOT $24 BLN
China spent $18.9 billion on Russian oil, gas and coal in the three months to the end of May, almost double the amount a year earlier, latest customs data show. Meanwhile, India shelled out $5.1 billion in the same period, more than five times the value of a year ago.
