Preliminary production figures for May 2017 show an average daily production of 1 980 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, which is a decrease of 128 000 barrels per day compared to April.

“We have been producing oil and gas in Norway for nearly 50 years and we are still not halfway done. Vast volumes of oil and gas have been discovered on the Norwegian shelf that are still waiting to be produced. We want companies with the ability and willingness to utilise new knowledge and advanced technology. This will yield profitable production for many decades in the future,” says Ingrid Sølvberg, Director of development and operations in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

The upward trend continues: from January through May 2017 Russian gas deliveries to France added 8.8 per cent compared to the same period of 2016.

In 2016 Gazprom’s gas deliveries to Serbia had added 4.3 per cent compared to 2015. On top of that, the first half of 2017 saw a considerable increase in the demand for Russian gas: from January through May 2017 Gazprom’s gas supplies to Serbia climbed 42.2 per cent compared to the same period of 2016.

Rosneft and Eni S.p.A. entered into a Cooperation extension agreement in the areas of upstream, refining, marketing and trading during the visit of an Italian delegation to Russia.
