France, Germany and Poland continued to receive term diesel cargoes from Russia, while spot diesel cargoes that would typically supply the UK are now ending up in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp hub instead, with a few Primorsk cargoes also finding their way to Barcelona.

Global LNG export capacity has increased by 29%, or 14.0 Bcf/d, over the past five years (2017–21).

Brent fell $1.29, or 1.2%, to $105.73 a barrel, WTI declined by $1.78, or 1.7%, to $103.01.

Hydrogen is becoming a more versatile fuel, however, and is receiving interest in energy storage, as a transportation fuel, as a fuel for electricity generation, and as a fuel for heating.

Russian gas producer Gazprom (GAZP.MM) has cut capacity through the pipeline to just 40%, citing the delayed return of equipment being serviced by Germany's Siemens Energy (SIEGn.DE) in Canada.

In May, India imported 819,000 barrels per day (bpd), from 277,000 bpd in April and 33,000 bpd a year ago. Russia is now the second biggest supplier to India, replacing Saudi Arabia, while Iraq continues to be the largest.

Brent rose 16 cents, or 0.2%, to $100.85 a barrel, WTI climbed 18 cents, or 0.2%, to $98.71 a barrel.

Dutch front-month gas, the European benchmark, traded 3.5% higher at 177 euros per megawatt-hour at 8:43 a.m. in Amsterdam.

Brent rose as much as $3.08, or 2.9%, to $105.85 a barrel, WTI climbed to a session high of $102.14 a barrel.
