GERMANY'S ENERGY SAVING
Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s three-party alliance agreed at the end of March to cut the levy on fuel for three months from June 1 by 30 euro cents per liter for gasoline and 14 cents for diesel, costing the government about 3 billion euros ($3.1 billion) in lost revenue.

RUSSIAN GAS FOR EUROPE IS STABLE
Russia's Gazprom said its supply of gas to Europe through Ukraine via the Sudzha entry point was seen at 40.1 million cubic metres (mcm) on Monday, unchanged from 40.1 mcm on Sunday.

ASIA'S LNG DEMAND WILL RISE

AZERBAIJAN'S GAS FOR EUROPE
Representatives from several European countries, including Romania, Serbia, Hungary and Italy travelled to Azerbaijan to discuss growing demand for gas in early June, in light of recent Gazprom cut offs and the threat that further sanctions could hit gas imports.

The Worldwide Rig Count for May was 1,628, up 25 from the 1,603 counted in April 2022,and up 366 from the 1,262 counted in May 2021.

ISRAELI GAS EXPLORATION
Israel’s proven gas reserves are very large, at a current estimated level of about 538 bcm (end of 2021). Production increased very rapidly from 2.5 bcm in 2012 to almost 13 bcm in 2020 (+23%/year on average, including +45% in 2020).
