NOVATEK'S PRODUCTION UP BY 4.9%
NOVATEK - NOVATEK’s hydrocarbons production totaled 402.2million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), including 50.31 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas and 8,775 thousand tons of liquids (gas condensate and crude oil), resulting in an increase in total hydrocarbons production by 18.9 million boe, or by 4.9%, as compared with the nine months 2017.

PLATTS - Tokyo Gas will purchase up to 0.6 million mt/year from LNG Canada for a period of 13 years from April 2026 to March 2039, delivered on an ex-ship basis with destination flexibility, Tokyo Gas added.

FRENCH NUCLEAR UP BY 2.7%
REUTERS - French utility EDF said on Tuesday that nuclear electricity generation from its reactors in France rose 2.7 percent to 30.1 terrawatt hour (TWh) compared with the same month a year ago, due to lower volume of outages.

OIL PRICE: NEAR $85 ANEW
REUTERS - Brent crude LCOc1 futures were down 2 cents at $84.98 a barrel by 0049 GMT, after a 1.3 percent gain on Tuesday. US. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude CLc1 was down by 16 cents, or 0.2 percent, at $74.8 a barrel, after rising nearly 1 percent in the previous session.

USE OF NUCLEAR POWER
WNN - A large increase in the use of nuclear power would help keep global warming to below 1.5 degrees, according to a United Nations report published today. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) special report - Global Warming of 1.5 degrees - was commissioned by governments at the Paris climate talks in 2015 and will inform the COP24 summit in Katowice, Poland this December.
