BLOOMBERG - MEG Energy Corp. said Wednesday it had rejected a C$3 billion ($2.3 billion) hostile takeover by Husky Energy Inc. and plans to launch a strategic review with an eye to finding another buyer.

SHELL - Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell), through its affiliate Shell Overseas Holdings Limited, has reached an agreement with publicly listed Norwegian Energy Company ASA (Noreco), to sell its shares in Shell Olie-og Gasudvinding Danmark B.V. (SOGU) for a consideration amount of $1.9 billion. SOGU is a wholly-owned Shell subsidiary that holds a 36.8% non-operating interest in the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC).

MEOG - Judaimi highlighted that the closer cooperation between Saudi Aramco and Indian energy entities is reflected in the partnership with RRPCL and ADNOC on the Ratnagiri mega-refinery and petrochemicals complex in Maharashta this year. He noted that nearly $2 billion in material-service sourcing with Indian companies to date; and the opening of the Aramco Asia India office in 2017.

FT - “Total has great ambition in this country, we want to be the largest foreign oil and gas player here,” the company’s chief executive Patrick Pouyanné said on Monday at the launch of a factory outside Moscow. 

BLOOMBERG - The wealth fund’s initial case had focused on limiting Norway’s exposure to a drop in oil prices, given its status as western Europe’s biggest petroleum producer. When the proposal was first made last year, it rocked markets, and drew responses from a number of major investors.

U.S. DT - On the borrower side, the IMF and World Bank should make efforts to obtain a comprehensive picture of members’ debt positions in both its bilateral surveillance and as part of its lending programs, with the goal of improving debt sustainability.

EIA - The project is a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell (which holds a 40% stake in the project), Petronas (25%), Mitsubishi (15%), PetroChina (15%), and Korea Gas (5%).

EBRD - The EBRD is the largest international financial investor in Ukraine. To date, the Bank has made a cumulative commitment of almost €12.1 billion across some 400 projects since the start of its operations in the country in 1993.

МИНФИН РОССИИ - Ожидаемый объем дополнительных нефтегазовых доходов федерального бюджета, связанный с превышением фактически сложившейся цены на нефть над базовым уровнем, прогнозируется в октябре 2018 года в размере +479,7 млрд руб.

МИНФИН РОССИИ - По состоянию на 1 октября 2018 г. объем ФНБ составил 5 004 491,4 млн. рублей, что эквивалентно 76 298,9 млн. долл. США. Совокупная расчетная сумма дохода от размещения средств ФНБ на счетах в иностранной валюте в Банке России, пересчитанного в долл. США, за период с 15 декабря 2017 г. по 30 сентября 2018 г. составила 14,7 млн. долл. США, что эквивалентно 965,8 млн. рублей.

МИНЭКОНОМРАЗВИТИЯ РОССИИ - На двусторонней встрече с премьер-министром Японии Синдзо Абэ М.Орешкин отметил, что общая сумма успешно реализованных инвестиционных проектов превысила 200 млн долл. США, а взаимный товарооборот к концу 2018 г. может составить порядка 20 млрд долл. США.

BLOOMBERG - Saudi Arabia’s crown prince insisted the stalled plan to sell shares in oil giant Aramco will go ahead, promising an initial public offering by 2021 and sticking to his ambitious view the state-run company is worth $2 trillion or more.

BHGE - BHGE will acquire a five percent stake in ADNOC Drilling. The transaction values ADNOC Drilling at approximately $11 billion.

МИНЭКОНОМРАЗВИТИЯ РОССИИ - В 2017 году товарооборот между Россией и Индией увеличился на 21% и составил 9,4 миллиарда долларов. В январе-июле 2018 года тенденция сохранилась: рост составил 20%, а товарооборот превысил 6,04 миллиардов долларов.

PLATTS - The two leaders, who met during a state visit to India by Putin, said in a statement that companies should "consider a wide range of opportunities for cooperation, including long-term contracts, joint ventures and acquisitions of energy assets in both countries, as well as possible cooperation in third countries".
