TURKSTREAM OPEN
TurkStream, which is laid in the Black Sea, is a link between the gas transmission systems of Russia and Turkey. The gas pipeline has two strings with a combined throughput capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters. The first string will deliver gas to Turkey, while the second string is intended for gas transit to southern and southeastern Europe through Turkish territory.

U.S. GAS PRICES DOWN
In 2019, natural gas spot prices at the national benchmark Henry Hub in Louisiana averaged $2.57 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), about 60 cents per MMBtu lower than in 2018 and the lowest annual average price since 2016.

NORWAY'S OIL WILL UP
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate projects that the overall production of oil and gas in 2024 will be close to the record year 2004 – among other things due to Sverdrup and because the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea is scheduled to come on stream in 2022.

CHINA'S NUCLEAR PROJECT
China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) and China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) have entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement, CEEC has told the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The document was signed in Beijing on 7 January by Wu Yun, deputy general manager of CEEC, and Li Qingtang, deputy general manager of CNNC.
