The U.S. has little leverage to prevent the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project between Russia and Germany from being completed, two administration officials said, acknowledging the failure of a years-long effort to head off what officials believe is a threat to European security.

Gazprom, which has already invested in several oil and gas projects in Vietnam, last year signed a new agreement on the development of the Bao Vang gas field and a power station in the central part of country.

The 764-mile Nord Stream 2 will deliver Russian gas to Germany under the Baltic Sea and is expected to double the capacity of the gas corridor to 110 Bcm/year.

“We also see that the human capital, at 46 percent, comprises the largest share of wealth in Russia, with the natural capital share, standing at 20 percent. As a rough approximation, we estimate that Russia's forests provide annual absorption of about 640 million tons of CO2 equivalent.”

This makes it technologically impossible for TVEL to be further engaged in works at the Fordow facility. Uranium enrichment and stable medical isotope production cannot be sustained in the same room. Air and equipment are exposed to UF6 leftovers, making the produced stable medical isotopes unsuitable for medical purposes.

Moscow says it does not want a “gas war” with Ukraine like the one in 2009 which led to supply disruptions in many European countries before the current agreement was signed.

"I can confirm the Pioneering Spirit is currently installing the pipeline in Danish waters," the Allseas spokesman said.

TVEL JSC has shipped to India the final consignment of uranium fuel pellets for BWR reactors and thereby fulfilled the relevant contract with the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India. The total volume of the supplied fuel pellets exceeded 50 tons, all shipments have carried out in 2019.

TVEL JSC and Kozloduy NPP have signed contractual documents for supplies of Russian nuclear fuel to the Bulgarian nuclear power plant for the period up to and including 2025.

Russia has begun gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline, the largest gas project in its history and a symbol of Moscow’s diplomatic pivot towards Beijing at a time of worsening relations with the west.
