IMF - IMF staff and the Argentine authorities have reached a staff-level agreement on the second review of the economic program supported by the Stand-By Arrangement. Completion of the review is subject to the approval of the IMF’s Executive Board and would make available SDR 5.5 billion (about US$7.6 billion).

IMF - The Japanese economy is growing above its estimated potential. After a temporary soft patch early in the year, domestic demand recovered in the second quarter. With external demand expected to remain supportive, and despite recent natural disasters, real GDP growth is projected to remain above trend in 2018 at 1.1 percent.

IMF - Kazakhstan's growth was strong in the first half of 2018 at 4.2 percent, led by manufacturing, oil, and a recovery of credit growth. With base effects from high growth in late 2017, the team forecasts growth of 3.7 percent in 2018, and as oil production gains moderate, 3.1 percent in 2019.

GAZPROM - Profit attributable to the owners of PJSC Gazprom for the nine months ended September 30, 2018 totalled RUB 1,017,250 million which is by RUB 435,416 million, or 75%, more than for the same period of the prior year.

SHELL - Royal Dutch Shell plc (Shell), through its affiliate Shell Overseas Holdings Limited, has completed the sale of its shares in Shell E&P Ireland Limited (SEPIL), which holds a 45% interest in the Corrib gas venture, for up to $1.30 billion (€1.14 billion), to Nephin Energy Holdings Limited (NEHL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Completion follows receipt of all necessary partner and regulatory consents and the transaction’s effective date is 1 January 2017.

U.S. BEA - Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.5 percent in the third quarter of 2018, according to the "second" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the second quarter, real GDP increased 4.2 percent.

SA - By most accounts, the U.S. has the highest level of economic inequality among developed countries. It has the world's greatest per capita health expenditures yet the lowest life expectancy among comparable countries.

LUKOIL - For the first nine months of 2018 profit attributable to PJSC LUKOIL shareholders was RUB 460.1 billion, up 54.3% year-on-year. In the third quarter of 2018 profit increased by 9.8% quarter-on-quarter to RUB 183.8 billion. The growth was constrained by higher DD&A due to the launch of new production facilities.

FT - in the third quarter of this year the US E&P sector was able to cover its capital spending from its operating cash flows, if only barely. The plunge in oil prices over the past two months is bringing those concerns gushing to the surface again.

PLATTS - Overall, the report found that without more significant global mitigation, "climate change is projected to impose substantial damages on the US economy, human health and the environment."

PETRONAS - PETRONAS Group's revenue for the third quarter of 2018 increased by 19% as compared to the third quarter of 2017 mainly due to the impact of higher average realised prices recorded for key products partially offset by the effect of strengthening of Ringgit against US Dollar exchange rate and the impact of lower sales volume mainly for LNG.

REUTERS - Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, the world’s largest, will no longer exclude Cairn Energy Plc (CNE.L) and Kosmos Energy Ltd (KOS.N) from its portfolio of investments, the Norwegian central bank said on Tuesday.

GAZPROM - Pursuant to the draft investment program for 2019, the overall amount of investments will stand at RUB 1,325.724 billion, with RUB 963.019 billion intended for capital investments, RUB 151.505 billion for the acquisition of non-current assets, and RUB 211.2 billion for long-term financial investments.

REUTERS - Preliminary data compiled by Venezuela’s central bank shows the economy shrank by 16.6 percent in 2017 compared with the year before, two sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday, the country’s sharpest decline on record.

IMF - Uzbekistan's gross domestic product (GDP) continued to expand at about 5 percent. Growth in the communication, construction, mining, and some service sectors remained strong through the third quarter.
