DUBAI SOLAR ENERGY
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is the world’s largest single-site project to generate renewable energy. It will have a capacity of 5,000 megawatts (MW) by 2030 with investments of AED 50 billion. It is based on the independent power producer (IPP) model. This model contributed to world record prices for solar energy projects. According to a study published by Japan's Nikkei Asian Review, the UAE's interest in renewable energy production has contributed to its global cost reduction. Through its projects, the solar park will accelerate the shift towards adopting and using solar energy.

U.S. TRADE DEFICIT DOWN TO $128.2 BLN
The U.S. current account deficit, which reflects the combined balances on trade in goods and services and income flows between U.S. residents and residents of other countries, narrowed by $8.0 billion, or 5.9 percent, to $128.2 billion in the second quarter of 2019, according to statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). The revised first quarter deficit was $136.2 billion.

80%: U.S. FOSSIL FUELS ENERGY
The share of U.S. total energy consumption that originated from fossil fuels has fallen from its peak of 94% in 1966 to 80% in 2018. The total amount of fossil fuels consumed in the United States has also fallen from its peak of 86 quads in 2007. Since then, coal consumption decreased by 10 quads and petroleum by 2 quads, more than offsetting a 7 quad increase in natural gas consumption.

СПРОС НА СПГ УДВОИТСЯ
Министр подчеркнул, что темпы потребления сжиженного природного газа (СПГ) в 3,5 раза выше, чем в целом газа. «К 2035 году мировой спрос на СПГ ещё удвоится и составит около 600 миллионов тонн. Основным «локомотивом» потребления станет Азиатско-Тихоокеанский регион. Китай и Индия совокупно покроют более 50% прироста спроса на СПГ в АТР. В результате, к 2035 году доля СПГ в мировой торговле может вырасти с сегодняшних 35% от общего объёма торговли газом до 51%. Россия уже сегодня уверенный лидер на мировом газовом рынке - как по запасам, так по добыче и экспорту», - сказал Д.Кобылкин.

RUSSIA'S LNG WILL UP TRIPLE
Russia exported 248 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2018, mostly via pipeline to Europe. In the next decade, its liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports will almost triple to 68 bcm as the Yamal LNG project reaches full capacity and Arctic 2 LNG comes online (plus two smaller projects).
