PETROBRAS NET INCOME $106 MLN
Net income attributable to the shareholders of Petrobras of US$ 106 million, compared to net loss attributable to the shareholders of Petrobras of US$ 318 million in the 1Q-2016, as a result of:
- A decrease of 22% in net finance expenses;
- An 7% increase of crude oil and natural gas total production;
- Higher revenues with an increase of 14% in crude oil and oil products exports and lower costs related to natural gas imports; Expenses related to the new Voluntary Separation Incentive Plan (PIDV); and
Impairment losses related to Comperj assets.

STATOIL BUY BRAZIL: $2.5 BLN
Statoil ASA (OSE:STL, NYSE:STO) and Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras (“Petrobras”) (BVMF: PETR4, NYSE:PBR) have agreed that Statoil will acquire Petrobras’ 66% operated interest of the BM-S-8 offshore licence in Brazil’s highly prolific Santos basin. The acquisition includes a substantial part of the Carcará oil discovery, one of the largest discoveries in the world in recent years.

PETROBRAS SELLS $6.75 BLN
State-controlled Petróleo Brasileiro SA raised $6.75 billion on Tuesday from a sale of five- and 10-year dollar-denominated bonds, in a closely watched return to global debt markets after the suspension of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

PETROBRAS SELLS $1.4 BLN
Petrobras said that it sold a 67% stake in its Petrobras Argentina subsidiary to Pampa Energía, an Argentinean energy firm, for $892 million. Petrobras had previously disclosed that it was in negotiations with Pampa Energia.

PETROBRAS STRIKE & SLASH 30%
Brazil’s largest oil workers union, known as FUP, joined several smaller striking unions on Sunday to protest Petrobras’ plans to sell up to $15.1 billion worth of assets and slash its 2016 budget down to $19 billion, a 30 percent reduction.

PETROBRAS CUTS BUDGET $3 BLN
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) reported further cuts to its capital budget, reducing planned spending for 2015 by $3 billion to $25 billion and by $8 billion to $19 billion for 2016. The company cited low crude oil prices and unfavorable exchange rates.

PETROBRAS: MORE CORRUPTION
A corruption investigation that has already engulfed Brazil’s state-run oil giant Petroleo Brasileiro SA has spread to the health ministry and state-owned bank Caixa Econômica Federal, authorities said Friday.
