The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries on Monday said that oil and gas remained part of key solutions in combating climate change. Secretary-General of the organisation, Mr Mohammad Barkindo, stated this in Vienna while speaking against the backdrop of mass mobilisation of civil society campaigns against the oil industry.

“The clock is ticking on irreversible climate change,” Adam Matthews, co-chair of the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI) and the director of ethics and engagement at the Church of England Pensions Board, said in a statement.

The natural gas pipeline project TurkStream, which will carry Russian gas to Turkey and Europe, as well as Turkey's first nuclear power Akkuyu, currently under construction by the Russian firm Rosatom, are two prominent strategic projects.

Россия является крупнейшим экспортером газа на итальянский рынок, в прошлом 2018 году наши поставки в республику достигли 22,8 млрд куб. м газа, что составляет около трети от потребностей экономики страны», - подчеркнул он.

Александр Новак добавил, что продолжается совместная реализация проектов “Сахалин-1” и “Сахалин-2”, в которых японские компании владеют 30% и 22,5%​ акций соответственно. С участием японских партнеров продолжает успешно реализовываться проект “Ямал СПГ”.​

“Развитие всесторонних связей между Россией и Ираном имеет важное значение для укрепления мира и стабильности в регионе Ближнего и Среднего Востока и отвечает национальным интересам обеих стран”, - отметил Александр Новак в ходе пленарного заседания.

Энергетическое сотрудничество России, Китая и Монголии в трехстороннем формате обладает большим потенциалом, выразил уверенность Александр Новак по итогам трехсторонней встречи.

Россия и Иран работают над расширением сотрудничества во всех отраслях, включая финансово-банковскую сферу, промышленность, энергетику, транспорт, сельское хозяйство и здравоохранение, отметил Министр энергетики и сопредседатель Постоянной Российско-Иранской комиссии по торгово-экономическому сотрудничеству Александр Новак по итогам встречи.
